What they say is true: finding your wedding dress is one of the most exciting moments of a bride's life. I'm still on cloud nine from finding my dress, and it's been 6 months since that wonderful day. Disclaimer: I will not be showing you the dress I picked, sorry. That has to stay a surprise until I get married. However, I am going to share my experience, and show a couple dresses that didn't make the cut that I tried on.

So first of all, I really recommend dress shopping at a smaller boutique dress store instead of a big chain. I had such an amazing experience because of the atmosphere and my consultant, Rachel, was awesome. I live in the Minneapolis, MN area, so I booked my appointment with Annika Bridal in Edina. It is a gorgeous boutique right in the shopping district of 50th and France, and it has an amazing handpicked selection of designer dresses that are right on trend.

I also booked a VIP appointment, which gave me and my bridal crew 3 hours of private shopping time in the store, along with champagne and treats like charcuterie, cake pops, and cupcakes from a local bakery. I mean, just look at this spread!

Once Rachel helped my pick some dresses to try on, the fun really began. My starting budget was a couple thousand, so I had an amazing selection to look through. I'll list some of the designers (the ones I can remember!) for the following dresses in case any of you are curious as see a dress that you love!

Dress 1: Antonio Gual

Dress 2: Calla Blanche

Dress 3: I think this was Ines di Santo

Dress 4: Rita Vinieris

Dress 5: Justin Alexander

Dress 6: I cannot for the life of me remember the designer of this one, but it was very pretty!! If you want to know, send this photo to Annika Bridal and I'm sure they could tell you!

Dress 7: Calla Blanche

Dress 8: Galia Lahav (by this point, Ethan said that he would up my budget so I could try on my absolute favorite bridal designer's dresses)

It was dress 9 that I ended up falling in love with. It was also a Galia Lahav gown, and it blows all of these dresses out of the water! It is hard to keep it a secret, but for now, I will have to keep you all waiting. Hopefully I will be able to wear it in July! This was such a fun day, and it couldn't have gone any better because I said yes to the dress!
